Vividhasitapitiya refers to four different methods for examining food quality as described in Charaka Samhita. It explains the nurturing of body by food and the diseases caused by incompatible food.

• Cough, cold, asthma, bronchitis, tuberculosis, loss of appetite, indigestion, fever.

Karma

• Kapha-vata hara
• Deepana
• Pachana
• Shvasahara
• Kasahara

Key ingredients

• Sitopala
• Vamshalochana
• Pippali
• Ela
• Tvak

Adult dose

3-6 grams, once or twice daily

Pediatric dose

Not applicable

Preparation steps

• Collect the necessary ingredients.
