Key ingredients
- Haritaki fruit pulp
- Amalaki fruit pulp
Adult dose
3-6 grams, once or twice a day. Dose varies based on the patient's age, strength, digestive fire, and condition.
Pediatric dose
2.5-5g
Preparation steps
- Collect fresh, mature fruits of Amalaki and Haritaki.
- Wash the fruits thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities.
- Dry the fruits under shade or in a dehydrator at low temperature to retain nutrients.
- Grind the dried fruits separately into a fine powder using a clean grinder.
- Mix the Amalaki and Haritaki powders in the desired ratio as per the formulation requirement.
- If a ghee-based paste is desired, cook the powders with ghee and honey until a semi-solid consistency is achieved.
- For tablet/capsule form, the powder can be granulated with a suitable binder and compressed into tablets or filled into capsules.
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in those with known allergy to Amla or bee products.
