Adult dose
1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) once or twice daily
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 ml
Preparation steps
- Prepare Triphala decoction by boiling Triphala powder in water until reduced to a quarter.
- Filter the decoction.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add Triphala paste and stir continuously.
- Add Triphala decoction and milk.
- Continue heating until moisture evaporates and the paste forms a wick when rolled between fingers.
- Pack in a tightly closed container.
Safety contraindications
- Avoid in acute diarrhea or severe Kapha-associated indigestion.
