Tiktashatpaladi is a classical ghee preparation used primarily for Pitta-type skin diseases, eliminating excess Kapha, Pitta, and purifying the blood. It is known for its bitter taste and is used to support healthy skin and digestion.

Preparation steps
- Collect the specified ingredients.
- Prepare a decoction (Kashaya) if required, as per classical guidelines.
- Make a paste (Kalka) of the ingredients.
- Melt ghee in a pan.
- Add the Kalka to the melted ghee.
- If using a Kashaya, add it to the ghee and Kalka mixture.
- Simmer on low heat, stirring continuously, until all moisture evaporates and the ghee is infused with the herbs.
- Strain the ghee through a clean cloth.
- Allow to cool and store in an airtight container away from sunlight.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended for individuals with severe emaciation or Vata disorders.
