Modern description
Tiktaka Ghrita is a classical Ayurvedic medicated ghee prepared with bitter herbs, traditionally used for detoxification, skin disorders, liver health, and balancing Pitta dosha. It improves skin health, supports digestive and hepatic function, and cleanses the blood channels.

Adult dose
Decoction: 50-100ml, twice daily. Tablet: 1-2 tablets, twice daily.
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 grams (if prepared as a ghee)
Preparation steps
- Herbs like Neem, Patola and Satapushpa are boiled in ghee and decoction to draw out potent phyto-actives.
- Combine the herbs and add to clarified butter.
- Heat until all the herbs are infused thoroughly.
Safety contraindications
- Do not consume if pregnant or breastfeeding, and not to be given to children under 13 years of age.
