Modern description
A medicated ghee preparation used to treat Pitta-related abdominal tumors (Gulma), pacifying Pitta and promoting rejuvenation.
Purpose
Destroys Pitta-gulma.
Indications
- Cough, Asthma, Bronchitis, Respiratory disorders, Bleeding disorders (Raktapitta), Inflammation, Vata disorders affecting the respiratory system.

Key ingredients
- Tailvaka . This strongly suggests a base of oil (Tila Taila
- a decoction of Vaka leaves would be used. Thus: Tila Taila
- Adhatoda vasica leaves
- reduced to 1 part.
Adult dose
5-10 ml, once or twice a day.

As directed by a physician
Preparation steps
- Collect all the ingredients.
- Prepare a decoction or paste of the herbs as per classical guidelines.
- Melt the ghee in a clean vessel.
- Add the herbal decoction/paste to the melted ghee.
- Cook on low heat until all the moisture evaporates and the ghee is infused with the herbal essence.
- Filter the ghee through a clean muslin cloth.
- Allow it to cool and store in an airtight container.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended for individuals with severe digestive weakness or acute diarrhea.
