Sura Asava is a fermented alcoholic beverage (Asava) used in Ayurveda for its diuretic properties, ability to alleviate Kapha and Vata doshas, and its pleasing effect on the heart.

Preparation steps
- Collection of raw materials: Herbs and spices are collected and cleaned.
- Preparation of Kashaya (decoction): Herbs are boiled in water to prepare a decoction.
- Addition of Jaggery/Sugar: Jaggery or sugar is added to the Kashaya.
- Fermentation: The mixture is transferred to a fermentation vessel, and Dhataki flowers are added.
- Sealing and Storage: The vessel is sealed and stored in a warm place for fermentation.
- Filtration: After fermentation, the liquid is filtered and stored.

- Avoid in conditions where alcohol consumption is restricted.
