Souviranjana is a classical Ayurvedic collyrium used to cleanse the eyes, improve vision, and balance Kapha dosha.

- Netra Roga (Eye Diseases), particularly for improving vision, reducing inflammation, and as a general eye tonic. Specifically indicated for blepharitis and other conditions affecting the eyelids and conjunctiva.

- Chakshushya (beneficial for eyes)
- Lekhana (scraping)
Key ingredients
- Sauvira (Antimony sulfide

Adult dose
A small amount, applied as Kajal (collyrium) to the inner eyelids.
Pediatric dose
A small amount applied to the inner eyelid (with caution).
Preparation steps
- The basic process involves collecting soot from a burning lamp.
- The soot is then mixed with ghee or other specified ingredients.
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in conditions of indigestion or acute eye inflammation unless otherwise directed by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.
