A decoction of six cooling and Pitta-pacifying herbs used to quench thirst and purify blood.

- Fever, thirst, indigestion, burning sensation, metabolic disorders (Ama conditions), general weakness due to fever.

- Musta 1 part
- Parpata 1 part
- Ushira 1 part
- Chandana 1 part
- Shunti 1 part
- Rakta Chandana 1 part. All ingredients are typically used in dried form.
Adult dose
48-96 ml (approximately 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup)
Pediatric dose
30-60 ml
Preparation steps
- Take equal parts of each ingredient.
- Coarsely crush the ingredients.
- Boil the crushed herbs in 16 parts of water until reduced to 1/4th quantity.
- Filter the decoction using a clean muslin cloth.
- Cool and store in a clean container.
Safety contraindications
- Severe cold, shivering, or excessive Vata.
