- Muscular pain, joint pain, skin disorders (with caution), Vrana (wounds), cold and cough (external application), massage, promoting circulation.

Adult dose
For internal use: 5-10 ml. For external use: As needed.
Pediatric dose
For external application, as needed, under supervision.
Preparation steps
- Collect fresh and high-quality mustard seeds.
- Clean the seeds to remove any impurities like stones, dust, or chaff.
- Dry the seeds under sunlight to reduce moisture content.
- Crush or grind the mustard seeds to a coarse powder.
- Use a traditional oil press (ghani) or a modern expeller to extract the oil from the crushed seeds.
- Collect the extracted oil in a clean container.
- Filter the oil through a muslin cloth or a fine sieve to remove any remaining seed particles.
- Store the oil in a clean, airtight container away from direct sunlight and heat.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended for individuals with active bleeding disorders or severe Pitta aggravation.
