Modern description
Rasakriya Anjana is used to treat night blindness and other eye disorders. It is a semi-solid preparation made by condensing herbal decoctions. It is applied to the inner surface of the eyelids as a collyrium.

Preparation steps
- Take the coarse powder of the drug.
- Add 16 parts of water to one part of the powder.
- Boil on low flame until 1/4 of the water remains.
- Filter the decoction.
- Boil the filtrate in a water bath until it becomes semisolid.
- Add prakshepa dravyas (if any) at the end when it is still hot.
- Allow it to cool before adding Sugandha dravyas and Madhu (Honey).
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in acute inflammatory conditions of the eye, and immediately after exposure to smoke, dust, or strong sunlight.
