Preparation steps
- Start with superior quality ghee made from the traditional Bilona method, sourced from grass-fed A2 indigenous cows (Gir, Sahiwal).
- Ensure moisture content is extremely low (<0.1%) and that there are no preservatives, additives, or adulterants.
- Choose an appropriate container such as an earthen pot (matka) with a lid, or a brass or bronze vessel with a tight seal. Avoid plastic, aluminum, or any reactive metals.
- Ensure the container is completely clean and dry.
- Store in a cool, dark place with a consistent temperature (15-25 degC).
- Keep the container sealed but allow minimal air exchange.
- Avoid contamination over the years.
- Maintain proper storage conditions throughout the aging process.
Safety contraindications
- Not ideal for patients with very low digestive strength.
