Astringent herbal combination to address diarrhea caused by undigested food (Ama).
Purpose
To eliminate poorly digested diarrhea.
Indications
- Bleeding disorders (Raktapitta), menorrhagia, diarrhea, ulcers, skin diseases, and conditions involving excessive discharge or bleeding. Used to promote tissue healing and reduce inflammation.

Adult dose
3-6 grams of the powder, once or twice daily. If used as a decoction, 50-100ml, once or twice daily.
Pediatric dose
1-3 grams
Preparation steps
- Collect all the ingredients.
- Dry the ingredients completely under shade.
- Powder each ingredient separately using a mortar and pestle or a mechanical grinder.
- Sieve the powders through a fine cloth to remove any coarse particles.
- Mix all the powdered ingredients thoroughly in the specified proportions.
- Store the mixture in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Safety contraindications
- Pregnancy, lactation, and in children below 5 years of age without medical supervision.
