Adult dose
The entire prepared quantity (approximately 1 Prastha / 768ml) is administered as a Basti.
Pediatric dose
30-60 ml (Adjusted based on age and weight)
Preparation steps
- Gather the necessary ingredients: Shalmali (Salmalia malabarica), Manjishtha (Rubia cordifolia), Chandana (Santalum album), Utpala (Nymphaea stellata), Kutaja seeds (Holorrhena antidysenterica), Priyangu (Callicarpa macrophylla), Padmakeshar (Nelumbo nucifera), Ghee, Honey, and Sugar.
- Prepare a decoction (Kashaya) using Yavasa (Alhagi camelorum), Kusha (Imperata cylindrical), Kasha (Saccharum spontaneum), flowers of Semul (Bombax ceiba), and adventitious roots of Nyagrodha (Ficus bengalensis), Udumbara (Ficus racemosa), and Ashwattha (Ficus religiosa).
- Make a paste of the resin from Shalmali (mocharasa) and other herbs.
- Mix the paste with ghee, honey, and sugar.
- Add the decoction and mix thoroughly to ensure a homogenous mixture.
