Pathyadi is a digestive aid, often combined with Karkatashringi, primarily indicated in fever to improve digestion. It is also used for headaches, eye disorders, and Pitta-related imbalances.

Adult dose
3-6 grams

15-30 ml (depending on age and weight)
Preparation steps
- Measure out 1 tsp Pathyadi mix (powder) or 5-6 whole herbs/spices.
- Add to 2 cups (about 400 ml) of filtered water in a saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain the liquid into your mug-discard the spent herbs.
- Add honey or jaggery to taste (optional), a pinch of black salt or lemon juice if you like.
Safety contraindications
- Generally contraindicated in pregnancy due to strong stimulants. Avoid in Kapha dominance with heaviness and sinus congestion-use Trikatu alongside; Ulcerative conditions-combine cautiously with cooling herbs.
