Panchamula, or 'five roots,' is a combination used to reduce inflammation, relieve fever, and improve digestion, often used in combination with other herbs like Rasaanjana and Guggulu.

Karma
- Deepana (appetizer)
- Pachana (digestive)

Key ingredients
- Bilva root
- Agnimantha root
- Shyonaka root
- Gambhari root
- Patala root
- all parts in equal quantity.
Adult dose
40-80 ml of the decoction, once or twice daily.
Pediatric dose
Dosage should be reduced based on the child's age and weight, consult a physician.
Preparation steps
- Collection of herbs: Procure the roots of the specified plants.
- Cleaning: Wash the roots thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities.
- Cutting: Cut the roots into small pieces.
- Decoction: Boil the cut roots in water until the water is reduced to a quarter of its original volume.
- Filtering: Filter the decoction to remove the solid residue.
- Cooling: Allow the decoction to cool before use.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended for individuals with severe kidney disorders without medical supervision.
