- Stambhana (astringent), Vranaropana (wound healing), Pitta Shamaka (pacifies Pitta), Kapha Shamaka (pacifies Kapha)
Key ingredients
- Nyagrodha stem bark
- Udumbara stem bark
- Ashvattha stem bark
- Plaksha stem bark
- Vetasa stem bark. Equal parts by weight.
Adult dose
Decoction: 50-100 ml. Powder: 3-6 grams.
Pediatric dose
25-50 ml
Preparation steps
- Collect the herbs of the Nyagrodhadi group.
- Clean and dry the herbs thoroughly.
- Cut the herbs into small pieces.
- Boil the herbs in water until the water reduces to one-fourth of the original quantity.
- Filter the decoction to remove solid particles.
- The decoction is now ready for use.
Safety contraindications
- Avoid in cases of severe constipation or significant Vata aggravation.
