Preparation steps
- Gather necessary ingredients: herbal decoction (kashaya), honey, rock salt (saindhava), medicated oil (sneha), and herbal paste (kalka).
- Mix honey and rock salt until well combined.
- Add medicated oil and mix thoroughly.
- Incorporate the herbal paste (kalka) and blend until homogenous.
- Gradually add the herbal decoction (kashaya) while continuously stirring to ensure uniform consistency.
- Warm the mixture slightly before administration.
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in individuals with severe debilitation, acute diarrhea, rectal bleeding, or intestinal obstruction.
