Adult dose
5-10 grams once or twice a day.
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 grams
Preparation steps
- Take Khadira, Chitraka, Shimshapa, Asana, Shiva, Vella, Akshaka, and Bhallataka in equal quantities and make a paste by adding water.
- Mix the paste with 18 parts of water in an iron vessel and place in sunlight for three days, stirring continuously with an iron spoon.
- After three days, heat the mixture on mild fire until the quantity of water reduces to 1/4 to make the decoction.
- Filter the decoction.
- Add an equal quantity of milk, two parts of Bhringaraja rasa, and three parts of Triphala kashaya along with four parts of butter to the decoction.
- Cook this mixture well in an iron pan (Krishna louha) until it attains ghritapaka.
