An oil formulation containing Mulaka (radish) and other ingredients, used to manage Vata disorders and improve skin health. It is also used in Basti and Nasya treatments for Vata related disorders.

Adult dose
5-10 drops in each ear or as directed by an Ayurvedic physician; for external application, sufficient quantity to cover affected area.

Preparation steps
- Collection of raw materials and authentication.
- Clean the ingredients and prepare a coarse powder.
- If using fresh juice or decoction, extract accordingly.
- In a clean stainless steel vessel, combine sesame oil with the herbal paste (kalka) and the liquid (decoction/juice).
- Heat the mixture on a mild flame, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
- Continue heating until all the water content evaporates and only the oil remains. This is indicated by the absence of crackling sounds and a change in the appearance of the herbal paste (kalka).
- Filter the oil through a clean muslin cloth.
- Allow the oil to cool and then store it in a clean, airtight glass container away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Safety contraindications
- Individuals with known allergies to any of the ingredients. Avoid in cases of acute fever or severe skin infections in the affected area.
