Mocha Rasa, an extract of the silk cotton tree (Salmalia malabarica), is used to manage bleeding from the anal route and has cooling and astringent properties. It contains L-arabinose, gallic acid, and tannic acid.

Preparation steps

• Collect the gum exudate (Mocha Rasa) from the Salmalia malabarica tree.

• Dry the purified gum under shade.
• Powder the dried gum.
• Store in an airtight container away from moisture and direct sunlight.

Safety contraindications

• Not recommended during acute infections or fever.
