Adult dose
5-10 ml for Nasya (Nasal Instillation) or Shirodhara (pouring on the forehead), or as directed by the physician. For external application, sufficient quantity to cover the affected area.

Apply to scalp and massage gently (use with caution)
Preparation steps
- Collection of herbs: Collect all the necessary herbs mentioned in the formulation.
- Preparation of Kalka (paste): Make a fine paste of the herbs.
- Preparation of Kashaya (decoction): Prepare a decoction using prescribed herbs.
- Mixing: Mix the Kalka, Kashaya, and base oil (Tila Taila) in the specified proportions.
- Heating: Heat the mixture on a mild flame until all the water content evaporates and the oil retains the properties of the herbs.
- Filtering: Allow the oil to cool and then filter it to remove any solid particles.
- Storage: Store the oil in a clean, airtight container, away from direct sunlight.
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in fever, acute infections, and during active bleeding.
