Preparation steps
- Collection of Manjishta roots (Rubia cordifolia).
- Cleaning and drying of the roots.
- For Churna: Grinding the dried roots into a fine powder.
- For Kwatha: Coarsely crushing the roots and boiling in water to reduce to a quarter.
- For Taila: Processing the roots with a suitable oil base (e.g., sesame oil).
Safety contraindications
- Avoid in cases of severe Vata aggravation without proper adjuncts.
