Mahatiktaka Ghrita is a potent Ayurvedic ghee formulation used for a wide range of inflammatory and skin conditions, as well as for mental disorders and detoxification.

Adult dose

5-10 ml once or twice a day

Pediatric dose

2.5-5 grams

Preparation steps

• Grind the herbs into a coarse powder
• Melt pure cow's ghee on low heat and gradually add the herb powder
• Keep stirring so nothing sticks and nothing burns
• Add a bit of water or herbal decoction (depending on tradition) to help extract water-soluble compounds
• Simmer until the moisture evaporates and you're left with a rich, golden ghrita that smells nutty and herbal at once
• Strain while warm, let it cool, and store in an airtight glass jar

Safety contraindications

• High doses are contraindicated during pregnancy; small supervised doses may be allowed but only under expert care
