Mahat Panchamula, or the Large Five Roots, is a combination of herbs analogous to the flesh of aquatic animals, used to balance all three doshas.

Adult dose
Decoction: 50-100 ml, once or twice daily. Powder: 3-6 grams, once or twice daily.

Preparation steps
- Collect the roots of Bilva, Agnimantha, Shyonaka, Patala, and Gambhari.
- Wash and dry the roots thoroughly.
- Cut the roots into small pieces.
- For decoction: Boil the roots in water until the volume is reduced to one-fourth.
- For powder: Grind the dried roots into a fine powder.
- Store in an airtight container away from moisture and direct sunlight.
