To prepare a Mahasneha.
Indications
- Vata disorders, emaciation, weakness, debility, joint pain, neurological disorders, dry skin, lack of strength, convalescence, promotes strength and nourishment.

Key ingredients
- Taila
- Ghrita
- Vasa
- Majja
Adult dose
5-10 ml (1-2 teaspoons) once or twice daily.
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 ml
Preparation steps
- Collect all the ingredients.
- Prepare a decoction (Kashaya) with the specified herbs.
- Add the oil/fat (sesame oil or ghee) to the decoction.
- Cook on a low flame until all the water evaporates and only the oil/fat remains.
- Filter the oil/fat to remove any solid particles.
- Store the medicated oil/fat in a clean, airtight container.
Safety contraindications
- Not suitable for people with indigestion, acute fever, or diarrhea.
