A classical oil preparation indicated for seminal disorders, acting as a potent aphrodisiac and tonic. Also beneficial for hair health, addressing premature greying, hair fall, and promoting hair growth.

• Karpura . Quantities vary
• often based on the 'taila paka' method
• where herbs are added as a decoction or paste to the oil.
• Bhringaraja
• Bibhitaki

Adult dose

5-10 ml for internal use (if intended; less common) or sufficient quantity for external application.

Pediatric dose

Not generally recommended for children

Preparation steps

• Collection of raw materials.
• Cleaning and drying of the herbs.
• Preparation of herbal decoction (Kashaya).
• Mixing of the decoction with sesame or coconut oil.
• Heating the mixture until all water content evaporates (Taila Paka).
• Filtering the oil and allowing it to cool.
• Storage in airtight containers.
