Preparation steps
- Collection of raw materials: Procure authentic raw materials.
- Ghee processing: Murchana (pre-processing) of Ghrita is done.
- Kalka preparation: Prepare a fine paste (Kalka) of the herbs.
- Decoction preparation: Prepare decoction (Kwatha) of specified herbs.
- Ghrita preparation: Combine Ghrita, Kalka, and Kwatha in a vessel.
- Heating: Heat the mixture on a mild to moderate flame, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
- Paka: Observe the signs of proper Paka (cooking) as described in classical texts.
- Cooling and filtration: Allow to cool and filter through a clean cloth.
- Storage: Store in a clean, airtight container away from sunlight and moisture.
Safety contraindications
- Avoid if overweight, have excessive Kapha, vomiting, diarrhea, frequent indigestion, excessive thirst, fainting spells, pregnancy, chronic dry throat and aversion to food and nausea.
