Kutaja Phanita (molasses/electuary) used to treat diarrhea, especially when strength is present, by balancing Pitta and Kapha. It helps in reducing intestinal inflammation and controlling bowel movements.

Key ingredients
- Kutaja root bark coarse powder
- Water
- Guda
Adult dose
6-12 grams
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 grams
Preparation steps
- Boil Kutaja bark in water until reduced to 1/8th.
- Filter the decoction.
- Add paste of Tarkshyasaila, Katutraya, Rodhra Dwaya, Mocharasa, Bala, Dadima twak, tender Bilwa fruits, Musta, Samanga and Dhataki Phala along with Kutaja bark.
- Add jaggery and ghee.
- Heat while stirring until it becomes a semisolid paste.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Cover with a lid and keep in a heap of rice bran for a fortnight.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended for pregnant women without strict medical supervision.
