Adult dose
5-10 ml orally, or as directed by an Ayurvedic practitioner. For external use, sufficient quantity for massage.
Pediatric dose
2.5-7.5 ml for internal use, as needed for massage
Preparation steps
- Prepare a decoction of Bala (Sida cordifolia).
- Make a paste (Kalka) of Bala root.
- Heat sesame oil with the Bala paste.
- Add the Bala decoction and cow's milk.
- Continue heating until all the water content evaporates and only oil remains.
- Filter, cool and store in a tightly closed container.
