An alkaline eye preparation (Anjana) used to dissolve masses formed by aggravated Kapha, promoting clarity and reducing congestion in the eyes.

- Kacha (early stages of cataract)
- Pilla (pterygium)

- Decreased vision due to Kapha dosha

Adult dose
A small quantity, like a matchstick head, applied to the inner canthus of the eye.
Pediatric dose
Not recommended for young children, use with caution under physician supervision for older children.
Preparation steps
- Ingredients are finely ground and mixed.
- The mixture is then subjected to a purification process if needed.
- Prepared as per classical Ayurvedic texts for ophthalmic preparations.
Safety contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, open wounds in the eyes.
