Preparation steps
- Collection of genuine herbs.
- Preparation of Kashaya (decoction) using Khadira and other herbs.
- Preparation of Kalka (paste) of prescribed herbs.
- Mixing Kashaya, Kalka, and Ghrita (ghee) in specified proportions.
- Heating the mixture until all the water content evaporates and the Ghrita is infused with the herbal extracts.
- Filtering the Ghrita to remove any solid particles.
- Cooling and storing in airtight containers.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended during pregnancy without medical supervision due to potential uterine stimulant properties.
