Key ingredients
- Kantakari fruit pulp
- Ghee
- Sugar/Jaggery
- Trikatu
- Honey
Adult dose
5-10 grams (approximately 1-2 teaspoons) once or twice daily
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 grams as directed by physician, adjusted for age
Preparation steps
- Collect all the ingredients.
- Prepare a decoction of Kantakarika.
- Filter the decoction to remove any impurities.
- Add sugar and heat until it dissolves completely.
- Incorporate the remaining powdered ingredients (churna dravyas) along with ghee and oil.
- Continue heating and stirring the mixture until it reaches the consistency of a confection (Leha), confirmed by testing a small amount in water.
- Allow the confection to cool.
- Mix in honey once the mixture has cooled down.
- Store in a airtight container in a cool, dry place.
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in diarrhea and dehydration.
