Modern description

Key ingredients

Adult dose
12 to 24 ml in equal quantity of water two times a day post meals.
Pediatric dose
5-15 ml (adjust based on age and weight)
Preparation steps
- Clean and dry the herbs for decoction and grind them to form a coarse powder.
- Add the powder to water to form a decoction.
- Filter the decoction through a muslin cloth.
- Add jaggery and honey to the filtered decoction and stir to form a homogenous mixture.
- Add aromatic herbs to the mixture and stir.
- Transfer the liquid to a ghee/clarified butter-smeared pot.
- Seal it tightly and move it to the fermentation room for a period of 1 month, constantly checking signals or hints of fermentation.
- After the process is completed, filter this and store it in dark bottles away from light and dampness.
