Indications
- Respiratory ailments (cough, asthma), fever, inflammation, pain, dysuria, urinary calculi, general debility, vata disorders, kapha disorders.

- Mutra Virechana
Key ingredients
- Brihati root
- Kantakari root
- Shalaparni root
- Prishnaparni root
- Gokshura root. Equal parts of each.
Adult dose
For decoction: 20-40 ml, once or twice daily. For powder (churna): 3-6 grams, once or twice daily.
Pediatric dose
10-20 ml
Preparation steps
- Gather the five ingredients of Kaniyaha Panchamulam.
- Clean and coarsely crush the ingredients.
- Boil the crushed herbs in water until the water is reduced to one-fourth of its original volume.
- Filter the decoction to remove solid particles.
- The filtered decoction is ready for use.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended during acute diarrhea or severe bleeding disorders.
