Hingvadi Ghrita is a ghee-based formulation prepared with Hingvadi herbs and curd, indicated for digestive and abdominal ailments. It may also help alleviate conditions such as Unmada (psychosis) and Apasmar (epilepsy), while also demonstrating potential anti-depressant activity.

Preparation steps
- Collect raw drugs
- Identify and authenticate the drugs
- Powder the drugs individually
- Pound raw Hingu in an iron mortar and pestle into small pieces
- Fry deeply in an iron fry pan using equal quantity of cow ghee until it turns light weight and dark brown in color
- Homogenously mix into a fine bolus (kalka) in the porcelain mortar and pestle
- Take cow ghee in a thick bottom vessel and heat in low flame
- Add the bolus (kalka) to ghee on appearance of slight fumes and then Kanji was added and stirred to obtain homogenous form
- Boil the mixture in low to medium flame with intermediate stirring till it combines with the testing criteria with fulfilment of wick and flame test
- Filter Hinguvadhighrita in a muslin cloth
- Store in an air tight glass jar after cooling
