Preparation steps
- Take Haritaki free from seed in powder form and steam in Dola Yantra.
- Add Kantakari decoction and jaggery, heat to semisolid consistency.
- While it cools down, add fine powders of ingredients from Shunti to Nagakeshara and honey and mix well to form a homogeneous mixture.
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in peptic ulcer and severe Pitta dosha. Avoid in patients with severe thirst, hunger and those exposed to sunlight for a long time. Single herb usage of Haritaki is contraindicated in lactating mothers.
