Adult dose
5-10 grams, once or twice a day, before or after food, or as directed by an Ayurvedic doctor.
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 grams
Preparation steps
- Collect raw drugs as per Grahya Lakshanas.
- Identify and validate raw drugs.
- Prepare Kalka (paste) of the solid ingredients.
- Extract juice from fresh ingredients.
- Melt ghee in a stainless steel vessel.
- Add Kalka and fresh juice to the ghee.
- Boil on slow fire with consistent stirring, until foam formation and complete evaporation of water.
- Strain through muslin cloth.
- Store in a well-closed container.
Safety contraindications
- Bile duct obstruction.
