Adult dose
40-50 ml of the decoction
Pediatric dose
10-30 ml (Half of the adult dose) for children above 8 years under medical supervision
Preparation steps
- Collect Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) and other herbs like Nimba (Neem), Dhanyaka (Coriander), and Rakta Chandana (Red Sandalwood).
- Ensure all raw materials are of good quality and properly identified.
- Wash the herbs thoroughly to remove any physical impurities.
- Cut the herbs into coarse powder (Yavakuta churna).
- Take 125g of each ingredient.
- Add 16 times water (16 parts water to 1 part herbs) in a mud vessel.
- Boil the mixture on mild fire and reduce to 1/8th part (1 part remaining).
- Filter the decoction through a clean muslin cloth or fine strainer.
