Preparation steps
- Collection of raw materials: Procure authentic raw materials.
- Preparation of Draksha (Raisin) Swarasa (juice): Extract fresh juice from raisins.
- Mixing: Mix the Draksha swarasa with jaggery or honey, Woodfordia fruticosa (Dhataki) flowers, and other ingredients as per AFI formulation.
- Fermentation: Transfer the mixture into a fermentation vessel, traditionally an earthen pot.
- Sealing: Seal the vessel and allow it to ferment in a cool, dark place for a specified period (e.g., 15-30 days).
- Filtering: After fermentation, filter the Asava to remove solid particles.
- Storage: Store the filtered Asava in airtight containers in a cool, dry place.
