Adult dose
5-10 grams (approximately 1-2 teaspoons)
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 grams
Preparation steps
- Collect all the ingredients.
- Wash and dry the Draksa (raisins).
- Prepare a decoction (kasaya) of the other herbs as per classical guidelines.
- Strain the decoction to remove any solid particles.
- Add the Draksa to the decoction and cook on low heat.
- Continue cooking while stirring continuously until the mixture thickens to a leha consistency.
- Add honey (Madhu) and mix well.
- Allow the leha to cool down completely.
- Store the leha in an airtight glass container in a cool, dry place.
Safety contraindications
- Avoid in cases of severe Kapha imbalance or uncontrolled diabetes.
