Dashmularishta (Dashamularista)
Dashmularishta is a liquid Ayurvedic medicine, a fermented preparation made using Dashamula (ten roots) and other herbs. It is used as a general tonic and restorative, especially in post-partum care and debility.

Preparation steps
- The ingredients of Dashamularishta are coarsely powdered.
- A specific amount of water is added and boiled to prepare a decoction.
- The decoction is filtered.
- Jaggery or sugar is added to the decoction.
- Specific herbs for fermentation (Prakshepaka dravyas) are added.
- The mixture is transferred to a fermentation vessel (usually earthen or wooden).
- The mouth of the vessel is sealed, and it is kept in a warm place for fermentation.
- After the fermentation period (usually 15-30 days), the Arishta is filtered.
- It is then tested for quality and bottled.
