Preparation steps
- Collect the ten ingredients: Shirisha, Yashtimadhu, Nata, Chandana, Ela, Jatamansi, Haridra, Daruharidra, Kushta, and Hrivera.
- Dry each ingredient separately to remove moisture.
- Powder each ingredient individually using a mortar and pestle or a mechanical grinder.
- Sieve the powders through a fine-mesh sieve (e.g., sieve no. 80) to ensure uniformity and remove any coarse particles.
- Weigh each powdered ingredient according to the specified ratio (usually equal parts).
- Mix all the powdered ingredients thoroughly in a clean, dry container to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- For external application (Lepa), mix the powder with ghee, water, or honey to form a paste immediately before use.
