Adult dose
5-10 ml once or twice daily
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 ml (adjust based on age and weight)
Preparation steps
- The specified ingredients are taken in the prescribed quantity.
- The Dashamula herbs are coarsely powdered and boiled in water to prepare a decoction (Kadha).
- The decoction is then filtered to remove any solid particles.
- Ghee (clarified butter) is taken in a clean vessel.
- The Dashamula decoction is added to the ghee.
- The mixture is heated over a mild flame, stirring continuously.
- Heating is continued until all the water content evaporates and only the medicated ghee remains.
- The ghee is then filtered through a clean cloth.
- The resulting Dashamuli Ghrita is allowed to cool.
- The cooled Dashamuli Ghrita is stored in airtight containers, protected from light and moisture.
