Modern description
A medicated ghee formulation combining Dashamoola with ghee, used primarily for Vata and Kapha imbalances, and abdominal distension.

Adult dose
5-10 grams (approximately 1-2 teaspoons) once or twice daily.
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 ml (adjust based on age and weight)
Preparation steps
- Gather the ingredients of Dashamula.
- Prepare a decoction (Kashaya) of Dashamula by boiling it in water and reducing it to a quarter of its original volume.
- Strain the decoction to remove any solid particles.
- Melt the ghee in a clean, heavy-bottomed pan.
- Add the Dashamula decoction to the melted ghee.
- Cook over low heat, stirring continuously, until all the water evaporates and only the ghee remains.
- Filter the ghee through a clean cloth.
- Allow the ghee to cool and store it in an airtight container away from sunlight.
