Preparation steps
- Collect the specified raw materials.
- Dry and powder the decoction herbs.
- Boil the decoction herbs in water and reduce to the specified amount to create a decoction.
- Filter the decoction to remove any solid particles.
- Add jaggery to the filtered decoction and allow it to dissolve completely.
- Add the aromatic herbs in powdered form.
- Transfer the mixture into a fermentation vessel (preferably earthenware or wooden).
- Seal the vessel and allow fermentation to occur for a specified period (typically 15-30 days) in a warm place.
- Monitor the fermentation process.
- After fermentation is complete, filter the Arishta.
- Store the Arishta in airtight containers in a cool, dry place.
