Adult dose
3-6 grams once or twice a day
Pediatric dose
Children below 5 years: 1-2 grams once or twice a day. Children between 5-12 years: 2-3 grams once or twice a day.
Preparation steps
- Coarsely powder Danti moola, Chitrak, and Haritaki.
- Add the powders to 12.288 liters of water.
- Boil the mixture and reduce to 1.536 liters, then filter.
- Add Guda (jaggery) to the decoction and boil until it reaches the required consistency for Avaleha.
- Add Taila (Tila) and fine powders of Trivritta, Kana (Pippali), Shunthi, Tvak, Ela, Patra, and Nagkesar.
- Mix well and allow to cool.
- Add Madhu (honey) after cooling.
- Store in a tightly closed container.
Safety contraindications
