6 - 12 grams (approximately 1-2 teaspoons)

Preparation steps
- Collect all the ingredients of Danti Ghrita.
- Prepare a paste (Kalka) of Danti (Baliospermum montanum) and other herbs mentioned in the formulation with sufficient quantity of water.
- Take Ghrita (ghee) in a stainless steel vessel.
- Add the Kalka (herbal paste) and Drava (decoction or water) to the Ghrita.
- Boil the mixture on mild fire, stirring continuously to prevent the solid parts from adhering to the vessel.
- Continue heating until all the moisture content evaporates and the Ghrita is properly infused with the herbal extracts.
- The end point is determined when the paste rolled between the fingers forms a 'varti' (wick).
- Allow the mixture to cool.
- Filter the Ghrita using a clean cloth.
- Store in a tightly closed glass, polythene, or aluminium container.
