Dadimadya Ghrita
Dadimadya Ghrita is a medicated ghee formulation primarily indicated for digestive and women's health. It is traditionally used for digestive ailments, anemia, and to support female reproductive health.
Modern description
A ghee formulation containing Dadima (pomegranate) and other Pitta-balancing herbs, used for digestive and inflammatory conditions. It acts as a carrier, delivering herbs deeper into tissues and enhancing absorption.
Purpose
To improve digestion, support cardiac function, alleviate anemia, and promote women's health, particularly during pregnancy.

Preparation steps
- Powder the ingredients from Dhanya to Pippali separately.
- Crush the pomegranate seeds to prepare a paste.
- Mix the powdered ingredients together and grind with sufficient water to prepare a paste.
- Heat ghee in a low flame to remove moisture.
- Add the prepared paste to the ghee along with a specific quantity of water.
- Stir continuously and heat until all the moisture content evaporates, the froth subsides, and when rolled, it forms a varti (wick).
- Pack it in closed glass containers.
