Preparation steps
- Collect necessary ingredients: Dadhi (curd), ghee, and any other herbs as per the specific formulation.
- If using additional herbs, prepare a paste or decoction of the herbs.
- Melt the ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over low heat.
- Add the curd to the melted ghee.
- If using, add the herbal paste or decoction to the ghee and curd mixture.
- Simmer the mixture over low heat, stirring frequently, until all the moisture has evaporated.
- Continue heating until the solid residue settles at the bottom and the ghee becomes clear.
- Filter the ghee through a fine-mesh cloth or filter.
- Store the Dadhika Ghrita in a clean, airtight container, away from direct sunlight and heat.
